Sketch in 2002 SA vs England programme

Christoffel 'CJ' van der Linde promptly won a first cap after joining the Springboks' squad last week as a replacement for Willie Meyer, who had sustained a neck injury against France. He excelled in this year's Bankfin Currie Cup campaign for the Cheetahs, can play on either side of the scrum and, at 22, has an appetising oppurtunity to make the breakthrough. Possesses impressive pace for a big man with ball-playing skills to match. Represented South Africa Under 19s and 21s and is a product of Grey College, Bloemfontein.
