Sketch in 2002 SA vs England programme

Lukas van Biljon has conquered injury to build a succcssful career. He had operations on his left shoulder in 1999 and on his right one the following year. Both times they kept him out of the game for four months. Has a rugby-playing family background, his grandfather Christian Jordaan having figured at lock and flank forward for Free State. Won his first cap against Italy at Port Elizabeth in June last year when John Smit suffered an early injury. Has added to his test appearances on this European tour.
