Beukes Enslin was born on 27 November 1971 in the small town of Fochville – situated in the NorthWest province of South Africa. He studied nature conservation at the Pretoria Technicon and completed his degree in 2000. During his career as nature conservationist in the Kruger National Park, the artist obtained practical and hands-on experience of nature, animals and the wonders of the African bush.

Painting has always been a hobby for Beukes. During 2003 he made the decision to take up painting seriously and became a full-time artist. Beukes is self-taught and feels free to express himself in his very own unique style. He mainly paints African wildlife and portrait studies with oil on canvas as preferred medium.

His work is available at prestigious galleries in South Africa. Some of his latest animal studies have been exported to Europe and South America.
